Welcome to Outward Bound California, Outdoors Empowered Network, and the US Fish & Wildlife Service!

Outward Bound California offers courses that build confidence and develop their students' abilities to interact and work effectively with others and can improve achievement and progress in school.

Outdoors Empowered Network seeds and supports a growing national network of organizations that get youth outdoors. Their members achieve success through outdoor leadership training and creating access to outdoor gear.

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service: The mission of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is working with others to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, plants, and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people.

DC Carr, Visitors Services and Communications for the Pacific Southwest Region for the US Fish and Wildlife Services, shares that “our sites have trails, viewing platforms, nature centers, and interpretive waysides. We hope that our land base and facilities can be useful as natural classrooms. In some areas, our staff can offer environmental education programming at wildlife refuges as well as teacher training and technical assistance to school or local parks districts. We have staff who specialize in building schoolyard habitats. We also employ some of the world's foremost wildlife experts who can share their knowledge with educators. With limited staff but a land base in many underserved areas, we hope to partner with others and make our limited resources go further toward providing high-quality connections for our constituents with the natural world.”
