Visit California’s Redwood State Parks for Free!

  • Date: Second Saturday of every month
  • Description: In celebration of the League’s Centennial year, they’re inviting everyone to experience the sights and sounds of more than 40 of California’s redwood state parks—for free! Every second Saturday of each month in 2018, Save the Redwoods League and California State Parks will be hosting a Free Redwoods Day. Parking passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis each month, ahead of the next event. Their next event is on May 12th— you can download your free pass starting April 30th here.

NEEF Environmental Education Week

  • Date: April 23rd - April 29th
  • Description: NEEF is inviting everyone to explore their own connections to the environment, to share their stories, and to showcase how they are making a difference on behalf of the environment. Through the support of its partners, NEEF hopes to raise awareness of the benefits of EE programs by sharing the stories individuals, nonprofits, companies, agencies, and communities. In hopes of inspiring others to join the movement, NEEF is creating a story wall and inviting you to share your EE pictures and stories. Use #EEWeek2018 and #EEinAction to share your story!

City Nature Challenge

  • Dates: April 27-30; May 1 - 3, 2018
  • Description: We’d like to inform everyone of an exciting opportunity to engage with your local wildlife! Part one of the City Nature Challenge starts April 27th and ends April 30th! Take photos of wildlife and plants in the city, and then identify them during Part Two of the challenge from May 1st - May 3rd.

Nature Fest BioBlitz

  • Dates: April 27, 2018 - April 28, 2018; All day.
  • Description: Join their team of experts to celebrate nature, learn about local wildlife and search for new species! Events appropriate for all ages and experience levels. Bay Area Open Space Council 2018 Conference
