California State Coastal Conservancy

The State Coastal Conservancy announces a new Proposition 1 Grant Solicitation.  Conservancy Proposition 1 grants fund multi-benefit ecosystem and watershed protection and restoration projects. Priority project types include:

  • water sustainability improvements,
  • anadromous fish habitat enhancement,
  • wetland restoration and
  • urban greening.

The Conservancy expects to have about $20 million in Prop 1 funding available. However, available funding will depend on the amount of Prop 1 appropriated to the Conservancy in the state budget for the 2019/20 fiscal year. The amount awarded will depend on the quality of the applications and the needs of the project.

California State Coastal Conservancy

The State Coastal Conservancy and the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Commission have announced the availability of Prop 12 grant funds for projects that advance the goals and priorities of the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Plan. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until the Conservancy has awarded all remaining grant funds, approximately $6.9 million. Grantees must be ready and able to complete projects by March 2022. There is no established minimum grant amount. The maximum will depend on the amount of available funds remaining at the time of the application.
