April 14-18: City Nature Challenge 2017

  • Who: You! Organized by the citizen science teams from the California Academy of Sciences and the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.
  • What: Which city in the United States has the most nature? The City Nature Challenge 2017, happening April 14-18, will help us find out! Just in time for National Citizen Science Day (April 15) and Earth Day (April 22), 16 U.S. cities are asking residents of and visitors to these urban areas to explore nature all around them and document the species they find.
  • Where: All 9 SF Bay Area Counties (and 15 other cities across the country)

June 28-29: People of the Global Majority in the Outdoors, Nature and Environment

The PGM ONE is a 2-day summit for outdoor and environmental professionals of color to connect, learn, celebrate, and heal with one another. It will take place at the David Brower Center June 28-29, 2017.
