Nature & Optics Festival

  • Date: September 8, 2018, 10AM - 4PM
  • Description: Join Sonoma Nature for the 8th Annual Optics and Nature Festival at the Sonoma Barracks on the  historic Sonoma Plaza. Fifty nature organizations and artist will be featured. Twelve major optics companies will be on hand to demo and sell the latest optics gear including  binoculars and spotting scopes. Partnering with California State Parks the event is open to the public.

Visit California’s Redwood State Parks for Free!

  • Date: Second Saturday of every month
  • Description: In celebration of the League’s Centennial year, they’re inviting everyone to experience the sights and sounds of more than 40 of California’s redwood state parks—for free! Every second Saturday of each month in 2018, Save the Redwoods League and California State Parks will be hosting a Free Redwoods Day. Parking passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis each month, ahead of the next event. Their next event is on September 8th— you can download your free pass starting at the end of August here.

2018 Emerging Leaders Program

  • Begins October 12th
  • Description: The Emerging Leaders Program ("ELP") prepares a diverse group of outdoor recreationists, ages 21-30, to help lead the conversations at SHIFT.

The 2018 SHIFT Festival

  • Date: October 16th - October 18th
  • Location: Jackson Hole, WY
  • Description: This year’s SHIFT is about “Public Lands, Public Health": How natural allies in outdoor recreation, conservation and land management can help the health care community advance and promote the benefits of time outside on our public lands. Early bird tickets are on sale now, you’ve got until September 1st to get yours at a 30% discount! The Coalition is honored to be a 2018 SHIFT award recipient.

2018 LGBTQ Outdoor Summit

  • Description: Pride Outside and Out There Adventures are excited to announce the 2018 LGBTQ Outdoor Summit! It’s a chance to bring together partners across the outdoor industry and conservation community to focus on boosting equity and representation for the LGBTQ community outside. We look forward to building on the important conversations and connections at last year’s inaugural summit.
